Yes, Golden puppies are adorable. . . .But are they right for you?
The Breeder Referral Program of the Golden Retriever Club of Greater St. Louis (GRCGSL) provides information to potential Golden Retriever owners to assist with the purchase of a Golden Retriever puppy or adult. GRCGSL encourages responsible breeding, and litters are referred only after the breeder has provided eyes, heart, hip and elbow clearances on both parents.
BEFORE YOU BUY: The Golden Retriever Club of America’s website is a wealth of knowledge. The section on “Find a Golden” contains information on the following topics:
Increase your odds of finding a Golden Retriever puppy that will meet your needs and expectations by investing the time to become an educated Golden Retriever buyer. AKC papers alone are not an indication of the quality of a puppy. AKC registration simply means the sire and dam of your Golden Retriever are the same breed (purebred). It does not guarantee health, temperament, structural soundness, or breeding quality.
