About Our Club

A member club of the Golden Retriever Club of America

The Golden Retriever Club of Greater St. Louis was originally established in 1975 and is a not-for-profit organization and a member club of the Golden Retriever Club of America.  Over the years, our club has become very active in holding licensed obedience trials, conformation shows, sanctioned field trials, hunting retriever tests, agility trials and tracking tests, as well as GRCA-sponsored field trials and working certificate tests.  Our club also holds periodic health screenings (eye, heart, hip, elbow, and thyroid clinics) and tattoo and microchip clinics.

Monthly club meetings have always played a vital role in our active club and helped newcomers by featuring grooming, conformation, and field, agility and tracking training sessions which enabled all of us to share our experiences.

Our monthly newsletter, "The Gateway Golden Gazette," contains a calendar of events, as well as informative, educational and fun articles. It provides a communication link between local Golden owners, breeders and exhibitors.
