We are a not-for-profit organization
formally established in 1975
with the following objectives:
- To encourage the
members to perfect by selective breeding, Golden Retrievers that
possess the soundness, temperament, natural ability, and
personality that is reflected in the standard of the breed, and
to do all possible to advance and promote the perfection of
these qualities.
- To urge members
and breeders to accept as approved by the American Kennel Club
as the only standard of excellence by which the Golden Retriever
shall be judged.
- To do all in its
power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by
encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, field
events, obedience trials, agility trials and tracking tests; and
- To conduct
sanctioned matches, specialty shows, field events, obedience
trials, agility trials and tracking tests under the rules of the
American Kennel Club

Our
membership consists of interested pet owners, breeders,
exhibitors, and trainers who all share a common bond--our love of
the Golden Retriever.
